Endangered Marine Species - Investigate

For today's class you will look at ONE specific marine species that is endangered.  You will have half of class to study the species, learn the basics about it, and uncover why it is endangered.  Divide up the sources, and see what you can get through, and summarize

You and your group will research your species and find out:

  • Describe the basic facts about your species + special fun facts we should know
  • Describe the basics about its habitat - naming specific locations (with a map if possible)
  • Why is this species special and significant?
  • Causes - why is this species endangered?
  • Any solutions that exist to save this species?  Any progress being made?
Present the information to the class - create 4 powerpoint image slides (no text necessary!) + a script of what you are going to say.  Divide up the speaking.
