Cheeseburger Footprint?

In today's class, we discussed the fact that one of the major threats facing the Amazon Rainforest is deforestation - and that one of the main reasons the hardwood trees are being chopped down is to allow more room for cattle grazing.  The cows most commonly belong to large scale multi-national corporations that are linked the fast food industry.

Here's an interesting article that calculates the amount of carbon dioxide emissions that we are emitting into the atmosphere each time we eat a cheeseburger, or head to McDonald's.   I will keep searching the internets for an article that calculates the McNuggets footprint.
