Rain, rain, rain. Today we are experiencing frontal precipitation in Burnaby - a warm front that is. Lucky you took Geography 12 this year, and you can now figure that out on your own! Last day's class focused on the basics of air pressure and temperature. Today's class focused on the main types of precipitation.
Class Activities:
1. Vocab Review + Weather Concepts notes - short and simple, basic facts about condensation and clouds.
2. Group Presentations - Precipitation Types including: Convectional, Orographic, Warm Front, Cold Front, Hurricanes and Tornadoes, and Monsoon winds.
HOMEWORK: To complete the chart on precipitation types, and to study and review the weather section in your study guide. Next day we will review major precipitation types, and do some practice questions to ready ourselves for your Weather Test #1 on Monday.
