The focus on today's lesson was to examine the different reasons why caves need to be protected. We examined the basics of caves, and were asked to complete this handout, to help us to identify the different cave features that exist.

We also examined three different articles. You were asked to summarize them with a partner. The big idea of all three articles is that caves are extremely fragile, and if they are lost or destroyed, we will lose important artifacts, information and species will become extinct.
