4. What plate
boundary exists in Indonesia and this part of the world?
5. Examine the
map of impact –
a. Which
countries had the highest death tolls?
b. How many
people had displaced people from the
earthquake/tsunami?

factors made contributed to such a large death toll – over 230,000 people?
2. What was
the sign that people could have used to recognize that a tsunami was coming?

Click on the settings, and examine Worldwide earthquakes
4.5+, play around with some of the other settings. Go to ‘significant worldwide’. Which country has had significant earthquake
activity this month?
SITE 4 - Play the Stop Disasters Game - choose the Tsunami option
Ensure that

Find out what types of actions communities must take
to help prepare their citizens

when we should reinforce them.
