Ocean Assignment: Solutions - What Gives Us Hope?

 As part of our wrap-up of the Ocean unit, we want to look at some of the many inspiring and diverse inventions and ideas that have been developed to help solve issues related to plastic pollution, overfishing, and poor management of our oceans. 

In our article - The Ocean in Peril - it was clear that the author believes that we have the ability and the scientific understanding, to solve or mitigate many of the problems facing the ocean. In this way, by using a 'triage' approach, we can address key concerns, while we take on the very serious issue of climate change.  He argues that the only thing holding us back is political will, and personal willingness to take action and demand that corporations and governments take accountability for their actions.
