Last Thursday/Friday we did some practice on Plate Tectonics, using Oreos and a little imagination. By now, you should be fairly clear on the types of plate boundaries, the interior of the earth, and some of the features that are created during Tectonic activity (ex. mountain building, rift valleys, etc.)
Here is the Review Powerpoint that we started class with.
- Plate Tectonics Review - Short PPT
- Notes - Plate Tectonics + Mountain Building - How are the Mid-Ocean Ridge and Rift Valleys created?
- Oreo Cookie Activity
- World Map Review + World Map Review Answer Key
Your only homework was to ensure that all of the above was complete, and that you had a solid understanding now of the work that we have done.
Optional - begin researching a famous volcano or earthquake that you are interested in
EXTRA NOTES & HANDOUTS THAT MAY BE HELPFUL TO YOU!
