Today online we finished up our discussion of water issues, and in particular, a discussion on Climate Change and its impacts on water. We learned about the importance of warming oceans, and the negative impacts that can stem from their increased temperature.
From there, we made the link between oceans and glaciers, and how glaciers are incredibly important 'caretakers' of the ocean - by staying frozen, and maintaining their capacity for albedo, they are able to help keep things cool, and maintain the salinity balance in the ocean.
