Activity 2 - Now let's explore some of the pollution risks that are facing rivers around the world.  Attached is the assignment that we will be working on today in the second half of class.  You will be taking a look at a variety of different links that explore the impact of clothing/textile, tanneries, and plastic on these river systems. 

Understanding the ways in which rivers are polluted is important, because it helps us understand some of the stresses facing local communities, as well as the fact that these polluted water eventually make their way to the oceans, affecting coastal ecosystems that are incredibly fragile.

Ensure that you have finished the booklet, and be ready to discuss the Ganges river in class tomorrow.
